Anatomic Pathology

Our anatomic pathologists play a vital role in the study and treatment of disease. Concerned with the diagnosis of disease based on the macroscopic, microscopic, biochemical, immunological and molecular examination of organs and tissues, our faculty work with the clinical and surgical departments to diagnose and treat patients.

Anatomic Pathology Services

We offer a robust autopsy service, including the ability to perform complete autopsies, brain only (in dementia cases), limited or restricted, and pediatric autopsies. We also accept organ- or disease-specific referrals for difficult diagnostic problems.

We offer expert cytologic interpretation and consultation of gynecological, non-gynecological, and fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens with the ultimate goal of attaining the most accurate and complete diagnosis possible.
